Marion Cotillard has been working with Chopard for over 15 years and now, the actress has taken her relationship with the jewellery brand to the next level, helping to design a capsule collection. The actress worked with artistic director Eliott Bliss on the project, which saw the creation of an ethical, sustainable collection of diamond jewellery.
Cotillard’s designs sit under Chopard’s Ice Cube collection, a range of pieces which are known for their graphic shapes and rock ‘n’ roll spirit. The pieces fuse geometry with asymmetry to create a modern and wearable feel – and are designed to suit women for any moment of the day.
The collection features a versatile and ever-changing set of earrings that can be worn in many different ways, as well as a beautiful ring featuring a 5.73-carat princess-cut diamond. Both designs were made with ethically-sourced materials only.
“By bringing her interpretation to our Ice Cube collection, she is inventing a contemporary and relaxed way to wear diamonds,” Chopard’s co-president, Caroline Scheufele
said of the actress. “It is a great pleasure to combine her ideas with our expertise in the realm of ethical jewellery.”
As well as giving Cotillard the opportunity to lend her design aesthetic to a jewellery collection, the project also allowed her to extend her environmental and social concerns into a new industry.
“Chopard has accompanied me since my debut as an actress and I share Caroline Scheufele’s commitment to ethics, so this new collaboration is a great way to further strengthen the ties between us,” Cotillard said of the project.
